How many different ways can I spell Teutoburg? Three, apparently. Sorry about that. I lost the original recording after the download and couldn't really make any changes.....But, this battle is another in the series of conflicts we discuss in 9th grade excel class. This revolved around planning and intelligence. The students are familiar with Roman tactics but the use of mercenaries (auxiliaries) was new to them. They enjoyed the discussion of the rise of Arminius. We finished with the story of Germanicus and his raids into Germania but that was not filmed. The students get really excited trying to figure out what battle we will do next. Any mistakes are my own. And the German language is cool sounding. Enjoy.
