The Wat Phra That Doi Suthep Buddhist Temple complex, located not far from the city of Chiang Mai, Thailand, is nestled on top of Doi Suthep mountain, over 3,400 feet above sea level. The temple complex features a large Golden Chedi (Stupa) that is said to contain the shoulder bone of an ancient Buddha. In the video you will hear about the Legend of the White Elephant, which explains the founding of the temple in 1383. This sacred temple is a pilgrimage site for Buddhists and tourists alike. The ornate Golden Chedi and numerous temples and buddhas are just stunning. You can take a cable car/tram or climb the 300+ steps to get here.
