The Centraal Train Station in Amsterdam, which opened in 1889, is one of the Europe's classic train stations. It was designed by a Dutch architect who also designed the Rijksmuseum. While I didn't take a train from the station on this particular visit, I wanted to show you the platform area and I tell you about a hack you can use if you want to see the platform area, but don't have a train ticket.
