A Waste oil Burner I constructed from pipe and an old extinguisher bottle. The oil Burner is running on waste vegetable oil that was filtered though a bit of fabric.
I use this waste oil burner for heating drums,usually containing WVO for either filtering or converting into Bio Diesel.
The waste oil burner burner is an old fire extinguisher Welded on a metal plate for stability. There is a 3" tube sitting over the top of the bottle which holds the Elbow which is 4" diameter and allows secondary air to be mixed with the flame.
This was just a shakedown run to test a new Centrifugal Blower. The blower is 3" however for this test the burner and the blower were linked together with a bit of old radiator hose which was only 1.5" internal diameter so posed a significant restriction to the over all airflow.
Even at this level of airflow however the fuel which was being supplied through a 10mm hose from a height of about 3ft was not sufficient as can be seen by the way the flame leans out. eh beginning and the end the air intake is capped an burner is just running on air which is essentially leaking out of the blower.
