Using a waste oil burner for Scrap metal melting and sorting. This was to test the heat output of my oil burner for removal of copper from steel using Veg oil as the free fuel heat source. Using the burner I was able to easily melt copper without the use of a furnace or other insulation. The burner can give over 300Kw on used vegetable or motor oil and as can be seen in the video, was able to heat over 1 Kg of metal to a bright red heat in under 1 minute.
