How to build a Waste oil Collection Pump.
In this clip I describe how to build a pump for collecting and transfering waste Vegetable or motor oils for use in vehicles and waste oil burners.
The waste oil pump is build from a Small Block Chev oil pump and drilled to accomodate larger ports than standard to allow for Higher oil flow. The pump is driven by a 24V Electric scooter motor that works well on 12V The pump will easily pick up cold, thick vegetable oil and engine oils and pumps at the rate of around 80L a Minute.
The coupling used is a Lovejoy 050 and has an 8mm Jaw on the motor side and a 12mm coupling on the Pump side.
These pumps work very well on used vegetable oils and engine oils and are self priming.
These pumps are easy to make and also very cheap especially compared to any other pump capeable of pumping used vegetable and engine oils at anywhere near the same flow rates.
