Hello Marion County citizens, Sheriff Billy Woods here and yes, today is Wanted by Woods Wednesday! We are looking for 24-year-old John Kyle Smith who is wanted for Grand Theft of a Firearm, VOP on Retail Petit Theft, Obstruction by a Disguised Person, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, FTA on Flee and Elude, DWSLR and Possession of Cannabis.
John, likes to steal from people and recently stole someone’s constitutional 2nd amendment right, by stealing the victim’s rifle, he also likes to go into businesses and steal from them. John recently stated that we would never find him, John, that makes me laugh, because we will find you. You will go to jail. I will not have the likes of you running through my county stealing from my citizens. And all of you that are letting John sleep on your couch, your aiding and abetting a criminal, so do the right thing and turn him in.
Citizens, we are going to need your help. If you have any information on John's whereabouts, please call Crime Stoppers of Marion County at 352-368-STOP and reference 20-07 in your tip. If you use Crime Stoppers and your tip leads to an arrest, you could be eligible for a cash reward!
