Alright here is your rundown of what happened last night!
Someone unlawfully entered an unlocked vehicle located at the 8700th block of SW 33rd Terrace and stole a wallet containing a driver’s license and a credit card. Total loss there is $32.00. In a separate case, another suspect entered the victim’s unlocked 2012 Hyundai while it was parked at the 4800th block of SE 135th Place. Once inside, suspect(s) stole a pair of Beats Headphones.
Multiple units responded to the 5500th block of SW 89th Place in reference to a vehicle burglary in progress. Deputy Krueger located two juveniles matching the descriptions of the subjects seen fleeing from the scene. Both juveniles were arrested and charged with Burglary of an Unoccupied Conveyance.
As of November 30, 2017, we’ve had 756 reported vehicle burglaries in Marion County, 684 of those cases involving unlocked vehicles. 56 of those unlocked vehicles had a weapon(s) stolen from them. 89% of our vehicle burglaries involve unlocked vehicles. LOCK YOUR DOORS!!!
Units responded to the Wal-Mart located at 9570 SW SR 200 in reference to a retail theft. Dispatch advised a vehicle and suspect description fleeing from the location going east on SR 200. Lt. CT Welch observed the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop at the 6100 block of SR 200. Mikhail C. McKenzie was placed under arrest for Felony Driving While License Suspended or Revoked and an active warrant out of this agency. Deputy Beccue was able to make a positive identification of the defendant from the store video. The defendant removed $232 worth of clothing, camping equipment, and small electronics from Wal-Mart.
