President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. paid his final respects to the late Major Ma. Joshua P. Santiago, his former Aide-de-Camp, during a wake visit at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig City on August 27, 2026.

The President honored Major Santiago’s courage, dedication and service to the nation, and extended his prayers and condolences to the bereaved family and fellow soldiers.

"In the time he stood by my side as my Aide-de-Camp, I came to know a soldier of courage, an officer I could depend on and, above all, a good man. Our prayers are with his family and fellow soldiers," President Marcos Jr. posted in a Facebook message today (August 28, 2026).
