President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led a series of engagements throughout the week aimed at safeguarding the lives, welfare, and security of Filipinos, particularly communities affected by the intensified southwest monsoon or habagat.
The President personally inspected key pumping stations, flood mitigation infrastructure, and evacuation centers to assess government readiness and ensure the swift delivery of assistance to affected communities.
Through these visits, President Marcos directed concerned agencies to remain coordinated, responsive, and fully mobilized under a whole-of-government approach—strengthening flood control measures, improving disaster preparedness, and ensuring that critical services reach those who need them most.
These continuing efforts reflect the Administration’s commitment to building communities that are safer, healthier, and more resilient in the face of natural disasters, as the country moves forward toward a stronger and more secure Bagong Pilipinas.
