Happy New Year!
As promised, our first vPub back after a short break over the holidays. It was much needed.
We’ve covered this topic a couple of times over the past few years and once more, we’ll look at where we are and where we’re going.
It is silly. Of course it is. Trying to make predictions about the year ahead is silly in anything, certainly whisky. But silly is fun and whisky should also be fun.
In the last two years I've attempted predictions and my accuracy is awful to see. It matters not, because it still gives us the ability to reflect. We like to consider where we are in whisky now, and looking forward can help there. We can have a think about how we feel things are going and what we'd like to see happening in the year ahead. I say ‘we’ well, of course I mean ‘me’. Usually.
But not this year.
I have a wee challenge for you, in the way of a Google Form. As you know I love a Google Form and I love to glean inspiration from the community, but more - I’d rather share the voice of all of you: where you are at and what you think about the year ahead. So I’ll ask you 5 multiple choice questions via the wee form and make sure it only takes a moment to fill in. I’ll share the themes and sentiments in the vPub for all to hear!

All the while admit how I didn’t get many of my own predictions right. But it won’t stop me taking a stab at a few more. And having a good old think about where whisky is, where it should be and where it’s going.
