Test Driving My 1965 Chevy II Nova Wagon for King of the Open Road 2025!
After sitting for over a year and a half, my 1965 Chevy II Nova Wagon is finally ready for its first test drive! This was a project that snowballed into something much bigger than I ever expected, and it's been collecting dust for far too long. With only five days left until King of the Open Road 2025 (KOTOR), my wife and I spent the last three weeks thrashing on this car to finish all the details.
In this video, we'll see if the car is finally ready for the road. Will everything hold up, or will a forgotten bolt or loose wire bring this project to a screeching halt? I'm excited and a little nervous to get it out of the garage and on the road for the first time. Wish us luck!
King of the Open Road (KOTOR) is a 3 day drag n drive type event.
On Friday (5 days from this video) there is a 200ish mile road drive to be completed to earn your spot to compete on 1/4 mile track at Tulsa Raceway Park Saturday & Sunday. It's sure to be a great time with a ton of cars. And best of all, we'll get to find out who's got the faster hotrod, me or the wife!
Place you wagers in the comments below, can I out run the wife with my 327ci sbc powered wagon, or will the wife and her 355ci sbc put me in place and send me for groceries!
