The Chevelle FINALLY Leaves the Starting Line Like a Real Hotrod!
We’ve been slowly dialing in Paige’s 1964 Chevy Chevelle from back to front, turning it into a proper street/strip hotrod. In the last video (link below), we swapped out the master cylinder, booster, and proportioning valve to finally fix the weak brake pressure issue. With that sorted, Paige was able to bring the car up on the converter at the starting line for the first time—and it completely changed the game.
The surprise? The Chevelle now hits the tire hard enough to spin right out of the hole! What used to dead-hook now breaks loose, but Paige adapted fast and started learning how to drive with the extra power at launch. By the end of the night, she set a new personal best and even outran a friend’s car (his Dragy confirmed the Chevelle was flying!).
This was the first time the car really left like a hotrod—and it showed us what this combo is capable of. Stick around, because we’re only scratching the surface of what’s possible with this build.
