In this episode of OneMoreBolt, we tackle massive valve cover oil leaks, only to discover our brand-new valve covers are completely wrong for the Chevelle. We're doing hot rodding the old fashion way—falling back on the original covers, throwing on some fresh gaskets, and getting an AFR gauge installed so we don't melt this Big Block Chevy.
After chasing down a sneaky water neck leak, the moment finally arrives: Paige takes the wheel to drive the 1964 Chevelle out of the shop for the first time since killing the old 355ci small block, and we hit the streets for the very FIRST DRIVE of the 454! It sounds mean, it drives great, but we quickly realize this carburetor has some serious bugs we need to tune out before we can unleash a massive smoky burnout or make a test hit in "Mexico".
