In April 1975, the collapse of South Vietnam accelerated as North Vietnamese forces advanced on Saigon. In an atmosphere of emergency, ITN reporters and camera crews documented South Vietnamese troops fighting to defend the capital. As the North Vietnamese Army closed in, the United States began evacuating Americans and South Vietnamese allies. One ITN crew was evacuated via the US Embassy and documented the journey out of Saigon. Another crew stayed behind to capture the historic moment North Vietnamese soldiers entered the city. Featuring newly restored and previously unseen footage, this collection of ITN reports documents the end of the Vietnam War as it was reported and understood at the time.
