However, v1.0 route can't use Slash-ESS owl skip because v1.0 route doesn't get sword and deku stick doesn't work for Slash-ESS.
So I supposed that same route until BotW Chu and timed how much time Castle owl skip saves.
(EDIT) I was wrong, you can Slash-ESS with deku stick, just you need to slash specific place for it, but Slash-ESS requires 1 more extra deku stick, it takes over 14 sec and all owl skip saves only 4 sec in total: youtu.be/8yZ5hrwMGy8
It means castle owl skip only is better like this video did
The estimated time was 6-6.5s, but the result was 5.5 sec. Maybe it's because of the lag during taking damage from stalchild. It seems to waste about 0.7 sec but still faster than taking damage by skulltula and wallmaster in BotW. Maybe this lag can be reduced somehow.
5.5 sec sounds small timesave but I think it's not that bad. You would waste 15 sec if you failed castle owl skip, but actual timeloss is 9 sec from freezing time from text since you need to wait morning anyways.
So it would waste only 3.5 sec even if you failed it and you can have extra time to reach crawlspace than usual. So maybe the difference could be more small if your movement isn't really good.
