Are you a dog person or a cat person? That can be a hard question to answer these days, but more than 1,000 years ago, dogs played an important role in the lives of the Fremont people. These furry, four-legged friends offered protection and contributed to the hunts but I think we can also assume they were loving companions as well! To be fair to our feline friends, domestic cats weren’t introduced to North America until the 1600s. Had they been around, maybe the Fremont would have left us petroglyphs of cats as well!
