Here’s your UCSS Friday throwback to the half-track, which was stolen from your public lands and later recovered last year. We’re so excited to celebrate the return of this historic artifact to its place on an archaeological site that is important to the local community and their history - and to add some interpretive signage to educate visitors about its story. If you want to join the celebration, come along to the Stewardship Strut on July 19th, 2025 - a trail race and hiking event with the chance to win some awesome swag, including a custom belt buckle. Whether you’re feeling like participating in the endurance event or just want to hang out for the BBQ, you’ll get to enjoy mountaintop scenery and opportunities to learn about the historic military vehicle.
