When Viola arrived at our wildlife rescue centre in Costa Rica, her condition was critical. A deep, infected laceration tore through her right wing—possibly the result of an attack by another macaw. The wound was so severe, and the tissue so damaged, that traditional stitches weren’t even an option.
But thanks to your support, our team was able to use something extraordinary: fish skin grafts.
