For 10 years, Gracie was forced to “dance” for entertainment. She was controlled through pain and fear. The trauma she carries from that cruelty will not disappear overnight.
But moments like this matter.
This is Gracie in a huge open enclosure, exploring enrichment, stretching her body, and having what can only be described as the bear version of the zoomies.
She has been through so much, and there is still a long way to go. Gracie will need time, patience, specialist care and lifelong support in the care of Wildlife SOS. But today, we wanted to share this little moment of joy with you, because you helped make it possible.
