Union Pacific SD70M locomotive 1979 had made several appearances in the central valley and through the Tehachapi Pass in the past months. This unit was created to be a special interest locomotive and it was to unite everyone together, no matter who you identify as, and to show that everyone is included and that we are all ONE. In this video, you will see the ONE unit trail as a DPU pushing a heavy manifest over the Tehachapi mountains. In the latter clips, you will see that 1979 is now LEADING a work train. 1979 had been on this work train for about two weeks working throughout the northern UP Mojave Sub dropping rails, ties, plates, and anything you can think of for the laying of new track. This work train was tricky to see because it would move 20 feet and then stop again to unload to it was hard to get to, especially in the Allard horseshoe areas. Hope you enjoy this compilation!
