There have been lots of mechanical troubles that past few months with the California state owned F59PHIs and SC-44s which means no other than the trusty P42DC to the rescue! There are various clips of the Amtrak Capitol Corridor and San Joaquins that include P42s. A thing to point out is that the AMTK 82 is the first phase IV locomotive to make its way onto the San Joaquins! These P42s aren't going anywhere soon, so hopefully more of them make their appearance soon. They are always a fun sight to see where they normally "shouldn't" be running. It always satisfying to hear the chig and "whoop" of the GEs. Enjoy the video!
