Unnamed geyser in a Sprinkler Group thermal pond
Geysers are hot springs that episodically erupt columns of water. They occur in few places on Earth. The highest concentration of geysers anywhere is at the Yellowstone Hotspot Volcano in northwestern Wyoming, USA.
The Sprinkler Group is located ~north of the Fountain Group in Yellowstone’s Lower Geyser Basin. The group consists of numerous small hot springs, small to moderately small fountain-type geysers, and one cone-type geyser - most are unnamed. The video clips seen here show a small fountain-type geyser erupting from an ephemeral thermal pond in the northern Sprinkler Group. The unnamed geyser’s vent is located at 44° 33' 16.09" North latitude, 110° 48' 39.05" West longitude using the 2016 satellite photo at Google Earth.
