Driving back and forth between Davis, CA and Bakersfield, CA only means one thing... Driving on the 99 freeway so I can railfan the UP Fresno Sub, too! The tracks parallel the freeway from the bottom of the central valley to the top which makes the drive much nicer to look forward too. This video is just one of drives and all the action that I was able to catch along the way. The UP Fresno Sub spans from Bakersfield, CA to Sacramento, CA. That is huge territory! It doesn't tend to be too busy but I caught it at the right time! It also helps that I can catch up to pretty much anything I wanted to see since I cover a lot of ground on the drive. I also think the Fresno Sub is pretty underrated, too. There are lots of cool shots that you can get. Anyways, enjoy the action!
