Back in August of 2023, my dad and I took a little vacation down to Carlsbad in SoCal for a few days! Our AirBNB was right up the street from the tracks which made it very convenient to go walk down and see the trains! Carlsbad and Carlsbad Village never get old, especially the 90 mph Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains! This video is part 1 of 2.
There were a bunch of cool trains throughout the trip! This video includes an AC44C4M leader with a CP on the northbound daygo. There was also a warbonnet leader with a KCS duo on the northbound autorack. A cool extra freight (not the usual manifests and autos) was an empty military trains. I saw lots of Amtrak and Coaster trains with lots of awesome shows! Those shave and a haircuts never get old! I also went to Oceanside for a little bit to see a Metrolink F59PH. It's awesome that a few of those are still roaming around in service. Keep a lookout for the part 2, it'll be just as foamy. Enjoy this video!
