I took a day trip to the Modesto Amtrak station with @ScottKremer29! I started out, like usual, getting on Amtrak Capitol Corridor in Davis and heading to Martinez where I would then catch a San Joaquins to Modesto. While in Martinez, I got to see the Coast Starlight with two ALC42 locomotives pulling the train as well as an eastbound Capitol Corridor heading to Sacramento. We had an awesome day out in Modesto as we were greeted with a warbonnet and UP trailing on an eastbound BNSF manifest headed to Calwa yard in Fresno. We also saw lots of other BNSF trains flying through the station as well as your typical Amtrak trains. I then head back to Martinez and then back to Davis where I concluded my day.
