Evan talks about the private Facebook group that comes with pre-ordering his book Built to Serve, where he and his team meet weekly with entrepreneurs who are trying to live out their purpose. He explains that most people who chase a bigger mission do not have anyone around them who truly understands what they are trying to build. Friends and family may be supportive, but they often cannot offer real guidance because they have never attempted anything similar themselves. The group exists to give people a global community of like-minded entrepreneurs pursuing purpose driven work. Evan shares that he has posted his own videos in the group and gotten valuable feedback from the very community he built.

He then explains the idea behind his book Your One Word, which argues that everyone has a single core value running through their best memories. Identifying that value, whether it is a favorite movie, a favorite book, or the person someone most wants to learn from, reveals a common thread across everything that makes a person come alive. For Evan, that word is believe, and he says it shows up as the throughline in every piece of content he creates. Once someone understands their word, they can start designing a life with real intention instead of waiting for good things to happen.

Evan and his co-host discuss the tension between believing in yourself and actually taking action, noting that a thought needs a real plan behind it to matter. He warns against getting stuck overplanning, because too much time spent planning creates space for self limiting thoughts to creep back in. The goal is to move from thought to action as quickly as possible without letting fear dress itself up as caution.

When asked what advice he would give someone thinking about starting a business around their passion, Evan says entrepreneurship comes down to providing value, and the more value provided, the more money that gets made. He encourages listeners to look at whatever struggle they went through and recognize that other people are living through that exact same struggle right now. Turning a purpose into a business is not just about income, it is about being able to help far more people than a part time evening and weekend hobby ever could.

He explains that many people find their purpose but never turn it into something sustainable, so it stays a hobby squeezed into evenings and weekends around a job they may not even like. If that purpose can be turned into a real business, it can eventually support a full time effort and a team of people who multiply the impact. Evan points out that a founder working alone evenings and weekends will always have a smaller impact than a company with five, ten, or a hundred people rallying around the same mission. He closes by noting that not everyone needs to become an entrepreneur, but for those who are entrepreneurial minded, building a business around purpose is how the impact actually compounds.
