So uh, ''recently'' has turned into a month at this point XD
But anyways, this is something I started making in early July, bc the Tag Force games were so fun that they had briefly given me motivation to make this. But that motivation kinda dropped 2 seconds into the edit already XD''
I did some more things that day, but I ended up periodically coming back to this, and just now I ended up finishing this because...I honestly don't know why, but I guess I just saw this project and was like ''sure, why not'' XD
This is truly all over the place and a mess, but today, I decided to somehow try to make the edit kinda give off the same energy that the game gives to me, and I decided to add some little speech bubbles at around 0:10 to essentially show the characters reacting to the song XD
Oh and I also decided to animate Bastion/Daichi saying ''bombs on it'' bc that I really like how the sprites in Tag Force 1-6 are animated, and I wanted to replicate that.
There was an extremely low amount of effort put into this, but I guess I at least attempted to make it fun to watch XD''
About the mask at the end: oh god - I roto brushed that in AE last month, not for this video, but for just general use for anything, and it took me I think 4 hours? I nearly gave up at one point, but I pressed on, and I'm quite happy with the result of it ^^ Kinda half-assed parts of it tho, but still. But I must admit that this is an awful video to first use this in XD"'
Also that Aki sprite was made for a different video but I squeezed it into here - never mind thaaaat XD
Generally I feel like the quality of this could've been better.
I also wanted to use flickers and more flashes but I forgot. Don't feel like going back now ^^"
Okay, I suppose I could maybe talk about my experiences with the Tag Force games, since this is essentially inspired by them;
I've tried out every Tag Force game except for Tag Force 5 so far, and they are actually a lot of fun ^^ I'd say that my favorite would be Tag Force Special, but I come back to nearly all of them from time to time. They might even cuuurrently be my fave games to play! Me and my partners are basically killin' it in Tag Force Special, and with Jaden I feel like we're just kinda op bc in tag duels we can win in like 4 to 10 turns? XD But for other partners these duels are short and fun too, like today I tried dueling with Aki as my partner, and she realized the strength of Cyber Dragon Zwei, and we won in 11 turns XD I feel like Tag Force 3 is a little endearing to me bc that was the first Tag Force game I happened to download and play, and something about it just gives off really good vibes ^^ But I wouldn't say my dueling is the best in any other games besides Tag Force Special - maybe it's me not working well with some certain cards, maybe it's bc of the AI (bc it sometimes _does_ make some strange decisions), I'm not sure. Okay but I gotta say that the AI in TFS is better than the AI in like Tag Force 3 bc there have been moments where I'm looking at what the AI is doing to our cards, or how it just doesn't seem to want to use the cards that can be actually useful, and I'm like ''what are you DOING'' XD
Ah! One more thing I forgot to mention about the games! I seeeeriously like the interaction parts of the games, where you can give gifts to characters, and they can react, and you can build a bond with them, or just simply talk to them - it's really interesting and intriguing to see how they react, and especially to think about how true these reactions are to what could be in the anime ^^ To be honest, that is actually what I first based this video's idea off ^^

So then, I suppose I wanna start off by saying that this didnt start off as a vent edit, but kind of ended up being one by the end.
I simply feel as if I need to put my emotions as of late somewhere.
I guess I wanna first say that I havent really edited any of my personal projects since last Friday. I didnt touch any editing program unless I needed it for school, as...I felt like I had lost a lot of my confidence to edit.
This began last Friday when I showed some of my videos to my graphic design teacher, and she congratulated me for making really good videos, and she did like them, but she recommended that the next time I try making something, I extend some of the effects bc, as a viewer, it can be hard to read all of the text and pay attention to all of the big effects at once. I have noticed this in my videos as well, but my intention in moments like that is that, if someone wants to, they can pause to read. Although, yes, I understand that not always this can work and whatnot. Perhaps I should have shown her some more edits where I edit with slower songs, as I ended up showing her my fast paced edits, for the most part. Anyways, I was glad that she liked them and whatnot, but after we parted, I found myself overthinking, thinking that if she mentioned that something is off, everything I make must be bad. I knew that that mustnt have been the case, but I still kept drilling this into my mind nonetheless, and I felt like I began to dislike even the videos of mine that I was proud of in the past. As if everything had now begun to look bad, hard to watch.
These thoughts ultimately made me lose my confidence in what I make.
This was the first project I started and made since then, and it only happened because I found this song today and slowly felt some ideas come to me. Before this I had another song idea, for if I were to potentially start editing again, but I scrapped that idea.
My own skepticism started after I set the clips. My clip choices here were quite strange, but I rolled with it bc I thought they were unique, similar to the sound of this song.
After a while of setting effects and text, I had begun to feel like Im simply out of loop with editing. I wasnt happy with what I was making. And I wasnt even after I realized and fixed some little things I didnt like. I contemplated quitting this project for now and going to something else, but honestly, remembering how complex and all-over-the-place my other projects in the making are, I began to feel overwhelmed, and so I stayed with this project.
So yes, I was mainly going for a clean kind of look for this edit.
As I was editing, I felt like I was somehow taking in the vibes of the song or something.
Aaand only after rendering did I feel like the result was pretty good. And this fact kinda surprised me. So after I saw some little things I could add or improve on, I readily went back and did the things. So I rendered this twice. The second time it took 16 minutes or so, which is very good!
Ah, and how could I forget to mention? I decided to try the camera movement thing in AE again with the clip at 0:06, and I also attempted to do an effect Ive seen on text, where it starts typing random letters at first and then types on, and the result is the actual word.
All and all I also wanna mention that Ive been feeling just, emotionally tired for a while now. Weeks have been passing by with me simply waiting for the weekend to come, but I suppose thats what happens at school. I guess the thing Im waiting for the most now is more sleep and a break. Already. I just...wanna regain some excitement, yknow? Its tiring to live only waiting for days to pass. Now dont get me wrong, I do enjoy most of the lessons at school, minus a couple, but they simply dont make me super excited.
So yeah, I suppose that is all I wanted to say.

So, yesterday I wasnt feeling very well, emotionally, but after talking it out with my girlfriend and also getting some kind and reassuring words from her, I started to feel better slowly ^^ And after this, I also started to get an idea for what else I could do to help myself feel better. My idea, was this XD Since Ive recently been listening to slowed down versions of Britneys songs, and since I am The Hype Train when doing something regarding Hollow Ichigo, or Hichigo, I decided that this could be neat to try out, and also very random XD Plus, I used to be a big Britney fan, so making this was quite nostalgic XD
Now of course my intention wasnt to make the character fit the lyrics, or make the clips fit the lyrics, but I think I still unconsciously tried to make the scenes fit the lyrics XD
I figured this could be just something I could slap together, to make myself feel better.
But, to my surprise, I actually got quite in the zone while editing this, and got super into it XD
It started with me deciding to put together songs, because I had a couple songs to choose from, and my gf suggested making a megamix XD These were the songs I wanted to choose from, plus Break The Ice, but I dropped that one eventually, as I felt it didnt fit into anything here.
Im not sure if the audio ended up being the best, but eh, it works ^^
After setting up the audio, I wasnt sure if I could have motivation to edit for much longer, but surely enough - I finished setting the clips and doing most of the effects and transitions in the same evening. Actually, I was shocked that the _flow_ of this was even turning out to be good. I nearly got shivers at one point, when watching the video back, bc it it felt like everything was falling into place perfectly lol
Kind of like... this shouldnt work, but Im still making it work XD
And yesterday I also decided that I would do the coloring and any overlays last, and I had decided on an aesthetic for each song too ^^ Regarding what could be the main colors, and what the diffusion could be for each song - I wanted I Wanna Go to be blue, If U Seek Amy to be pink, and Circus to be a mix of b&w and orange ^^
Today, I fixed up some little things, and then intended to create a pre-comp project where I could make the coloring and whatnot, but apparently, even if I had disabled the resample on both my first project and that one, it still gave me resample on the video, and I didnt want to work with that. But, I used this to my advantage, to at least make a balanced coloring for each part, where it wouldnt be too bright or too dark ^^ After making the coloring, I rendered the first project, and then put the video back into Vegas to add those colorings, rsmb, and also overlays ^^
I ended up rendering this twice, because the first time, the first part was too bright. III dont remember how long it took to render the second time, but it took 10 or so minutes to render the first time, I think? ^^
So yeah! Thats about all I have to say about this - it was a lot of fun to make :3

Welp, I basically spent all yesterday evening on this XD
After seeing my girlfriends mmd yesterday, I was inspired to make my own again, but the problem was that I didnt know what I wanted to do with it aT ALL basically XD I first knew that I wanted to use this stage, and I wanted to try out more stuff with Raycast, but from there, it went a bit all over the place XD I wanted to originally use a character from Konohana Kitan as a model here, but I couldnt find a dl to the motion that I wanted, and as such, I began a search for Literally whatever I think looks nice XD I found this motion/song when looking around for a stage with a pond, bc I figured that would fit the character I had in mind better, but the stage that I Did find, was taking much too long to download. And so, I decided to stick with this stage for now and use this motion if I cant get the other one. Looking back at it now, maybe my original idea fit the lyrics of the song better XD I only took a look at the English translation for the lyrics today, so yeah ^^
Anyways, I went through a whole Process with setting up raycast, and it was tiring and time consuming XD But, the result was worth it! ^^
And after setting up the lighting of the stage, I hit a problem once again. The model for the character wasnt working/looking the way I wanted it to, and so, I decided to change it to another character. After some thinking, I decided that maybe Yuu could fit better with a classroom setting ^^
After also setting up the lighting for his model, adding in the motion, camera and whatnot, I decided to fix up the camera so there are no unwanted stage lines showing. Meaning I just fixed up the camera in general so it doesnt seem like its flying too far back, or away from the stage ^^
From there I also decided that, heck, since Im already this committed, I could even edit this in AE afterwards, which iiis what I ended up doing ^^
Basically my goal when adding the effects in MMD was to make everything look as natural as I currently can, and, I think that worked! ^^
Really happy with how the ray effect also gave me a shadow on the right of Yuus model there ^^
And welp, it didnt take too too long to render in MMD, but oh deary, problems arose with AE XD I had to convert this with Handbrake twice, basically. Once for AE, and once more after rendering in AE. I had problems with the video flickering when it shouldnt in the program, and it took me some fiddling around to fix it ^^
Afterwards, I decided to leave my laptop on for the night to render. It showed that er, nearly 4 hours were left to render, by the time I headed off to bed? But get this, I couldnt fall asleep, and it was terrible XD I happened to roll around and stay awake until it said that 27 or so minutes were left, but afterwards I definitely blacked out XD
Anyways, after converting it with Handbrake again this morning, this is now done, finally, and Im very happy with the result ^^

This is actually a fairly old project that I came back to yesterday.
This first started out as a thing I wanted to begin making in Vegas, and then continue making in AE. I had made a version of this video with just the clips and a coloring, and I actually put that together in Vegas Pro 15, making this, basically the first thing Ive made in that version of Vegas? XD Theeen came the AE editing process. I didnt get farther than the first transition bc I didnt like how it looked XD
Maybe a month ago I decided to try making this in Vegas, instead, but since I couldnt open a newer project in an older version of Vegas, I legit took the video I had rendered and cut it up in Vegas 14. I kinda left it at that, then XD But yesterday, I decided to try copying and pasting the entire timeline I had in Vegas 15 to Vegas 14, and it worked! I could finally edit regularly without any hassle of the clips being hard to change ^^
Then I went on an editing spree OWO XD No really, I was so motivated to edit this that I even opened up AE to make that little spinning star animation at 0:04 XD
And I legitmately did nearly everything in this video yesterday. Bc as I said, before I only had clips and a coloring.
The energetic vibe of the song made me really happy and therefore, this felt really fun to edit!
Ooohh and I tried out a new thing! on the do text near the start, I tried to add a wavy wipe transition (that I ended up making myself by making the wave and then adding that as a transition in Vegas), but not only that, I wanted it to change the hue a bit, as it would disappear, so under that I placed a darker tinted version of that text, and I left the white stroke of the text on top of everything, too, so I was going for a kind of color draining effect there ^^ It was also fun to make some lyrics/prerenders pan :3
I ended up finishing this near 1 AM, but I still tried to not half ass the ending as much as I wouldve wanted to XD Actually, I added flashes going to the beat, in the outro, too, but I didnt like how they looked, so I removed them later on.
