The second of my 2007-ish styled projects, and one of my faves so far! c:

I started this a day after i finished the "rebellion" edit, as i felt so much inspiration and love for this style, and i loved this song too! :D i quickly knew that i wanted to use this it uwu
i realized that when it comes to this kind of style, i just like going with whatever kind of media i wanna go with, it doesn't even have to make sense based on the song choice. I especially love using mdzs for these kinds of edits :3
and interestingly enough my fave part is actually the part with the screaming, even tho i'm not fond of screaming so much in songs anymore :o

i felt like i wanted to go for a flashy aesthetic here, using lots of fonts and text/movement styles that feel old and which i remember from back in the day ^^
i also wanted this edit to give off a scenecore aesthetic, so i decided to add some textures that i think compliment the edit itself ^^

about halfway through this project i came back to it maybe two days later, and i feel like taking that little break from editing in this style somehow took away my mindset to edit exactly like this again, so at one point it felt kinda tough to replicate my previous aesthetic and motions. in fact i had to review and re-render this video Several times because of things i kept wanting to change.
Something was really off with the flow and speed at one point. The second half started feeling randomly too fast or too slow, all in the same section, and it didn't feel like it was building up or reflecting the vibe/sound that i want.
i started looking at this aspect a bit more critically then.

i was fixing multiple parts, coming back to them, tweaking them, and then rendering, spotting that something doesn't feel right or is too pixelated, and fixing again. In fact, the entire ending section before the outro was WAAAYYY calmed down in this version that you see here. It was extremely flashy and fast at first. I started to get some issues with even watching the video with how different the pace was and especially that ending. I started to get headpain and that's when i understood that this will still need a lot of work. bc headpain is certainly not something i want to induce with these kinds of edits - i simply want them to be chaotic.

After maybe, 5 or more renders? this was finally finished and it felt okay to watch too.
I definitely feel happy with the result now tho! I'm very happy that i could finish this ^^

I used Mo Dao Zu Shi and Black Butler for this edit bc those are both series that i was really vibing with and still am atm uwu

A little fact is that i added the face at 0:17 bc that was actually me at vegas at that point, bc either it kept freezing or crashing and i had to reopen this project a couple times so the first thing i did at one point after opening the project was just add that face, and it also fits the sound of the lyric, so that's cool- XD

And to divide these 2007-ish styled edits from my regular ones, i have chosen to name them, usually, in all lowercase, and then some extremely excited marks, such as loads of exclamation marks, or a little ''~'', a space between said mark and the words, and maaaybe an emoticon at the end ^^
and i might make the thumbnails of these videos look similar to what you're seeing here on this video and the ''rebellion'' video! so it could be clear-ish that these videos are different from what i usually make ^^
