This project was quite a trip!
A mix of insecurity and a feeling of peace in one, in a way.
This was the project in which I began to develop some insecurity in the way that I edit, and that if I won't try to edit similarly to other people, I ''won't be good enough'' and that my work will be ''dull'' and ''boring''.
I felt this way while I was setting the clips and adding Twixtor to them.
I was able to do all of that, plus make/add a coloring, but that was when I stopped for a while. I didn't want to ''ruin'' the video, and I didn't want to make it look bad, so I left this sitting project sitting in one of my folders, and I wasn't even sure if I would finish it, at one point.
Lo and behold, I once again gained inspo to edit this after finishing my Judas edit. However, instead of worrying about anything, I simply jumped into making the effects and did whatever came to my mind.
My goal with the effects was to make this whole edit peaceful, and like an ''underwater adventure'' x3 Personally I do think I succeeded with this!
I believe I was able to finish the effects in one day, as well? I would like to mention that the text style I used at the start (the color combo and whatnot) was actually inspired by some text I saw at the start of one tutorial I watched a good while back ^^
And speaking of inspiration! The edit that even inspired me to make this was WBelieveW's edit with this same song, and I suppose if y'all look at that edit, you can also see what clips I was inspired by ^^ Ah, and I was also very inspired by their edit called ''Exist'' ^^ Both very beautiful edits! I definitely recommend checking them out ^^
As time went on tho, and I got to the effects, I strayed a little further from my original inspiration from the edit and decided to make this how I see it ^^
This took 1 hour and 16 minutes to render at first, I think? I rendered it a second time after I saw that I made the edit much too bright, and I don't remember how long the second time took, but it was a similar amount of time I think.
In general I'm very happy with the vibe I managed to create in this edit, and I don't think that there's anything I'd still like to fix besides toning down the white film strip overlay from 0:22-0:23 ^^'' I could've fixed that, but I didn't feel like waiting for another hour for this to render ^^'' Another thing is that I accidentally left out a game from the outro at the end. Since the song title was extremely long, I wanted to make up for the awkward space by the rest of the text as long as possible too, but the thing is that when I was looking around for what clips I used - I didn't look on my timeline directly, but in my media list, and I skimmed through it rather than read it. Baaasically, the game I left out was KH3, bc I noticed that I had used a bit of its opening here.

Perhaps you might remember that a year back, i had told you about how i had been making a dedication video for you, and it was taking me a long time to finish and i wasnt able to finish it in time for your birthday, and you told me that even if it took me a year to finish it, youd still love it? Well well, look what took me a year to finally finish ;w; x3 I wanted to use characters who are very dear to you, and i kept some of the character ideas i had from last year too - in general i ended up using Nagito, Hajime, Khun, Bam, Wei, and i tried to use Lan as well ^^ In terms of the song choice, i no longer remember how i found this song, but from the sound of it, i found myself wondering if perhaps youd like this kind of song, so i decided to use it :3 I tried to make the clips fit the lyrics a little, and i thought about using Lan more in the second half of the chorus, but i thought that perhaps Wei could fit the hypnotized lyric a little better, so, there he is- owo
Id like to apologize for my absence this year, but im happy that we can continue to grow closer, still ❤️ I hope that you enjoy this video!
About the video:
Granted, for a very long time, i didnt have ideas for this video in general, my brain didnt wanna,,, set clips ;w; but once i got past that, and even during that process, i started to get into the flow more, and then editing this felt easier :3
It was very fun to work with the colors of this, i loved seeing the tones that the purple streaks created underneath the vhs effect :3 It was also just as fun to slowly, slowly get more comfortable with Element 3D when making this x3 In general this was fun to make once i got into it, during/after setting clips ^w^

This is an MMD video I made a while back, on the same day I made my Cloud MMD, if yall have maybe seen that ^^
I found this model and I felt like trying it out, and this was the first motion I tried it on. I feel like the animations look rather nice on it, and from there I decided - why not make a video with this? ^^ Im not quite sure if the arms are supposed to look the way they look when they are twisted like that, but oh well ^^
I do think that this is quite a nice and accurate model of her ^^
Speaking of Yuna, I started playing FFX a while back, and Im really enjoying it so far ^^ I feel like my favorite characters are equally Tidus and Yuna :3

I had decided on this song way back in March i think! :3 i heard it and i loved how passionate and full of adoration the lyrics are, and perhaps there might be multiple ways to interpret this song? But i choose the lyrics that ive written in this video to be the ones that i want to focus on the most ^^ And plus, i feel like this song could basically be about these past 5 years here :3
And it took me quite a bit to decide what media i wanted! i only decided in late May or sometime in June i think owo i evidently decided to use both characters that we like (specifically, ones that we have been talking about often this past year), and couples that we could be like, so basically this one big mix of media! uwu not entirely sure how ill be able to top this now in terms of media originality in any future gifties, but im sure ill be able to think of something x3
I suppose i put the most effort in to the clip selection here! :o I also divided this video into sections based on their clips and theme, which i shall leave below - ill also leave a lil list of our characters, too x3
I kept the coloring rather simple, i kinda wanted to combine our fave colors with this coloring x3
I was quite busy and tense for a while so i wasnt feeling able to sit down and continue editing this for a while BUT when i got free time between exams, and after stuffs yesterday too, one of the things i focused on was continuing this x3 Unfortunately yesterday i was really tired, so i tried my best to finish this up until late last night, but i still ended up tweaking it a little this morning, and then i felt happy with how it looked :3
I do feel like im mostly happy with how the clips look and the trust text looks :3

Yesterday my mind simply started to force and shove bad thoughts into my head and I began to cry and simply feel very bad. This happened while I was finally editing another edit again, but I couldnt focus enough on that edit anymore as I felt like I hated what I was making. I looked up a tutorial for an effect that I wanted and I heard this song in the background of that tutorial. I quickly looked it up bc it sounded interesting, and I felt like this quickly became my current favorite song.
I also quickly began to get video ideas for an edit with this song, so, this was the result.
This isnt a vent edit, more of a simple distraction. Also since I didnt feel like the lyrics of the song, at the time, but more like the general sound of this song.
After finishing this edit, I didnt feel well again, and I felt like I was empty, just in a state of existing rather than feeling anything.
I would really like to say, tho, that I did begin to feel better later on, yesterday night, too, after I went on a spree of listening to active and happy music, hoping that it could help me feel better, which it did! After I think three or four songs, and some other things, I started smiling and feeling a bit happier again. This could also be a thing that I could try to do other times, and something that I might recommend yall to try if you feel the need to! I know it can be hard to listen to anything positive, and also positve music, when you simply dont feel like it, but Ive recently learned that it could help because your brain expects to see what it hears in the music, so it could try to generate the energy of the song into your emotions as well.
So today Im doing good again.
I wasnt sure if I wanted to upload this but now Ive decided to do so, since I have done a couple new-ish things in this edit, even if its very simple.
Also my main focus in this edit wasnt the effects but simply to put emotion into it.
And honestly I want to say that Im glad to be editing again after, what feels like, a very long time of not having the motivation to. Well see if Ill end up finishing any project soon or not ^^
I actually have mid-semester showcases happening rn, so, oof ^^
Speaking of not editing for a while, I was actually wondering what it would be like to get back into the feel of editing. At first it was a little uncomfortable to edit this bc things werent looking the way I wanted them to, but as I edited I finally got back into the zone of doing things and then I was able to do what I wanted.
Aaaand only as I began rendering I realized that I hadnt added my watermark, but I suppose that isnt a big problem here.
This also took 6 minutes and 34 seconds to render which is very good ^^
I also wanted to add lyrics for the start of the chorus but by the end of making this, I didnt have the energy to. I simply wanted to get this done and over with.
This wasnt the first thing I imagined that I would upload after this time, but maybe that edit will see the light of day sometime soon too ^^ Well just have to wait and see.

This was a seriously random idea XD
This started when I was talking to BethTheFallen, and she wanted to say deaf edit at one point but she accidentally said blind edit and then I was struck with a catastrophe of an idea XD
My first thought was that I could cover my eyes by tying a scarf over them, and she could try to tell me where my cursor is on the screen, but since that Disaster went exactly Nowhere, I tried a form of a blind edit that she suggested - to make an edit but not watch it on the preview screen - basically, I wasnt allowed to RAM preview this and hear it with the audio, or hear any audio, and I could only use my arrow keys as a form of previewing. What made it difficult was that the waveforms for this song all seem so...similar, so it was kinda hard to tell whats what sometimes, and Im kinda annoyed that I did something off the beat near the end XD
Also yes, its this song again. Heavily inspired by my season 0 The Devil edit bc what is Effort XD Now that I think back to it, it wouldve been neat if I at least added the orange-yellowish color of Haous eyes into the isolated colors, but oh well. I had literally no other idea for what song to use, and I thought that this song is generally fun to edit with, so ye.
The overall idea of an edit with this song and Judai and Haou actually came to me about a month ago - but it was def meant to be a more professional edit than this. I also wanted to use that same clip and audio that I used here at the end, but it was meant for a different point in the song. The ending of it, to be precise.
There were points where I accidentally pressed the spacebar, and therefore I heard the little part at 0:08, but oh well. At least then I knew that it was on the beat XD
Speaking of beats, this result feels interesting, but very wrong to me??? Everything feels misplaced, oml XD
The only thing that I knew was gonna be the way it was was the start - I knew that that part was gonna have those lyrics, so thats the only one I added lyrics _to._
I didnt even try with the flickers. I only added one.
I was pretty surprised when I finally RAM previewed this after I felt like I was done. First of all I was surprised that my laptop was able to preview the whole video at once without me needing to cut the watching into little pieces. But I really felt like there were missed opportunities here XD
I did a little cheating, maybe, at the end, bc I changed the position of the anime audio and the fades a little, but I didnt touch the actual clips.
This whole thing was like a deaf edit except I knew what song I was using and I wasnt able to play the thing lol
Aaaalright, guess thats all!
