HD is your pal!

This is actually a fairly old project that I came back to yesterday.
This first started out as a thing I wanted to begin making in Vegas, and then continue making in AE. I had made a version of this video with just the clips and a coloring, and I actually put that together in Vegas Pro 15, making this, basically the first thing I've made in that version of Vegas? XD Theeen came the AE editing process. I didn't get farther than the first transition bc I didn't like how it looked XD''
Maybe a month ago I decided to try making this in Vegas, instead, but since I couldn't open a newer project in an older version of Vegas, I legit took the video I had rendered and cut it up in Vegas 14. I kinda left it at that, then XD'' But yesterday, I decided to try copying and pasting the entire timeline I had in Vegas 15 to Vegas 14, and it worked! I could finally edit regularly without any hassle of the clips being hard to change ^^
Then I went on an editing spree OWO XD No really, I was so motivated to edit this that I even opened up AE to make that little spinning star animation at 0:04 XD
And I legitmately did nearly everything in this video yesterday. Bc as I said, before I only had clips and a coloring.
The energetic vibe of the song made me really happy and therefore, this felt really fun to edit!
Ooohh and I tried out a new thing! on the ''do'' text near the start, I tried to add a wavy wipe transition (that I ended up making myself by making the wave and then adding that as a transition in Vegas), but not only that, I wanted it to change the hue a bit, as it would disappear, so under that I placed a darker tinted version of that text, and I left the white stroke of the text on top of everything, too, so I was going for a kind of ''color draining'' effect there ^^ It was also fun to make some lyrics/prerenders pan :3
I ended up finishing this near 1 AM, but I still tried to not half ass the ending as much as I would've wanted to XD'' Actually, I added flashes going to the beat, in the outro, too, but I didn't like how they looked, so I removed them later on.

${{ Deaf edit }} - FLASH WARNING - IM SCREECHING. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. OKIE OKIE. So, this is a deaf edit that I did with my best friend, BethTheFallen, and in case you dont know the idea behind these: Basically, two people send each other audio and they have to edit with it, but they have to mute their audio layer in their program so they cant hear the music, and they only have to follow by the waveforms of the song. They could also give each other a theme with which they could edit. However, since Beth cant exactly edit, she just contributed by sending me audio, and BOY WAS THIS FUN XDD And she didnt give me a theme, or any hint, really, so all of this was just completely random! XD The only real lead that I had with this was that I wanted to describe Jadens personally to her, and I was struggling a bit and I said that he doesnt care what anyone says, and then she laughed a bit and repeated that a little, and I was there thinking like Is that a hint XDD The results of these are usually very interesting. And I CANT BELIEVE THAT THE THINGS I ADDED ACTUALLY FIT, IM LOSING MY MIND. THE EFFECTS AT LEAST, HOLY SHIT XDD c R A P I mistook smth for a beat and one beat was a bit off XD Eh oh well XD I LIKE THE SONG SHE CHOSE, OMG XD Omg and now Ill talk about my experience with editing this XD I chose Judai, or Jaden, bc Im recently getting back into watching Yu-Gi-Oh! GX and Im having so much fun!! :3 Im currently at episode 9 of season 1 ^^ And also bc Im currently in the process of making another edit with him ^^ Some of the clips I used here might be the same as which I used in that video, so, um, bear with me please XD Okie so I THOUGHT A PLOT TWIST AT THE START WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA. And it WAS, Im SCREAMING. I also tried to analyze the waveform to the best of my abilities, so if I saw some kind of high, wavy thing, I figured that that would be a high beat, so flash, and then I thought that the more quiet, full waveforms would be the deeper ones, so flicker. I LITERALLY DID IT THE OTHER WAY AROUND, JC XD Now that I think about it, it does make sense for it to be the other way around :D Siiiince my only lead was the fact that he doesnt care what people say, I literally used the one clip I think fit the best for that, which is the one at 0:10, and I tried g u e s s i n g where the lyric about that could be, and I guessed wrong XD My idea from there was that the clips could start out happy, fade to some more sad, angry, or arrogant clips, and then back to happy at the very end. I didnt use any coloring, and I only sharpened the clips bc there was NO way I was gonna take a chance and add a coloring XD Also may I say that the clip at 0:21 - 0:22 (the b&w one with the tv simulator) fits STUPIDLY WELL. XD I um, gave up with effects towards the end, as you can probably see XD Thats because it was getting kinda late and I really wanted to finish this in one day. Speaking of which, I think this was the quickest Ive edited in quite a while! But I suppose the main reason for that is bc I had no clips to make precise, no lyrics to use, no real c l u e what to expect, so yea XD Vegas crashed on me when I started this project tho, well, before I had even saved it as a file, and at that point I had cut a clip where Jaden jumped onto a t h i ng, and now Im kinda buuummed that I didnt cut it again later, to use it here, but, oh well XD Its s o m e t h i n g as it is XD I also used two gifs here, bc eh XD Okay so Im honestly happier with this than I thought I would be! I leaped into watching this today ready to expect whatever, actually, and Im glad it was like this XD So then, I hope you enjoy this mess, yall XD ~ Song: BoTalks - Fuck It (feat.
