Looking for open source scalable terrain rendering and found this one written in rust, it streams data from the internet depending on where the viewer is and how close to the ground it is, seems to work fine, with a faster internet connection it should be even better:
github.com/fintelia/terra
There must be configuration options to set the date and time, but didn't see them. Ultimately I'd like to use it as a library, overlay geotiffs to get images of a certain resolution and camera intrinsics and position so will probably go back to C++ and osgearth (github.com/gwaldron/osgearth).
I commented out the line `.with_fullscreen(Some(winit::window::Fullscreen::Borderless(monitor)))`
to get it to be in windowed mode.
