The mouse is used to rotate the voxel preview, and it can be used to paint also but the keyboard and vi-keys are the primary interface. It doesn't export in any format other than a sequence of 2D images that are slices of the voxel model. (What format does Minecraft use?)
I'm using processing with a separate P3D graphics target for the voxel preview, but it seems not to work completely- ortho() didn't work and neither did changing the fov or trying to change lighting.
To run this you will want to download Processing (processing.org/download/) and my code which is here (and free and open source):
