Let's keep the landscape kick going with a bright, vibrant, tropical sunset. I can almost feel the sand between my toes, the breeze in my hair, and the sound of waves in my ears. This is an easy acrylic painting lesson for beginners!
We're going to spend a bit of time focusing on how to blend acrylic paint, and I'm going to show you two different techniques you can use on this background. If you've ever had problems with blending, this is the video for you. We're then going to create some super simple clouds that shift in color as they move through the different parts of the sky. Those palm tree silhouettes? Super easy! You'll be enjoying your very own tropical paradise in no time.

I’m painting on a 12x16-inch stretched canvas, but you can paint on any type and size of canvas you like.
I used:
• A 1-inch flat brush
• #8 filbert
• 1/2-inch angle
• #3 round
• Fan brush

I’m using Liquitex acrylic paint in the following colors:
• Titanium White
• Mars Black
• Deep Violet
• Cadmium Yellow Medium
• Quinacridone Magenta
But you can use any colors you like.
