Let's paint a surreal tree on the edge of a cliff overlooking billowing clouds. Let's get really crazy with it and add some gold leaf to the tree!!
I’m painting on a 12x16-inch stretched canvas, but you can paint on any type and size of canvas you like.
I used:
• A 1-inch flat brush (available on my website here: bit.ly/2n5xDF0)
• #12, #6, & #4 cloud brush (available on my website here: bit.ly/2n5xDF0) If you don't have my cloud brushes, you can use any brush you're comfortable scrubbing with
• 1/2-inch angle brush
• Round brush with nice point
• 1/4-inch flat brush
• Gold leaf (optional)
• Matte Medium (to tack down gold leaf. Can also use gloss medium)
I’m using Liquitex Basics acrylic paint in the following colors:
• Mars Black
• Titanium White
• Burnt Umber
• Yellow Oxide (or Yellow Ocher)
• Cadmium Yellow Deep (Hue)
• Metallic Gold (optional)
But you can use any colors you like.
