Purchased a perfectly marbled Tri-Tip from a local butcher. Trio Country Meats! Seasoned with Postal Barbeque Mad Cow and we are giving away a bottle of the rub! Did a great reverse sear and it turned out amazing!
• Started with a really nice Tri-Tip from Trio Country Butcher triomeats.com
• Seasoned with Postal Barbeque Mad Cow Rub.
• Set up the SNS Travel Kettle direct and indirect cooking.
• Lit the charcoal in the Slow ‘N Sear to hold around 275 degrees.
• Placed the Tri-Tip on the indirect side until they reached about 80 degrees and then turned them over to promote even cooking until 110.
• Pulled them off and let the grill get nice and hot and started the sear.
• Seared for 30 seconds a side and kept flipping to avoid burning and then pulled them to rest.
• Let them rest for about 15 minutes before cutting into them.
Summary: The Tri-Tip from Trio Country Butcher and was really a nice cut of meat.
The Slow ‘N Sear Travel Kettle is a work of art. All of the features of the SNS 22” Kettle in a smaller package. The quality of the grill is amazing!
