A simple six-minute piece with just a piano and a delay effect. Solitude was originally improvised so rather than doing anything musically elaborate or intricate it's more about how it flows and how each section compliments each other - unfortunately I can't really explain my thought process while doing such improvisations, I wouldn't say I think about the next chord so much as I feel the next chord, cliché as that probably sounds.
There's no video of the piano this time, sorry. In hindsight considering the tone of this piece perhaps it's better that way than having a giant pair of hands on screen at all times?
I recorded the song in 3 parts, and I stayed mostly true to the original. What I wanted out of this piece was for it to be the same as before, but with a nicer piano sound, and cleaner playing, that's all. While the original was completely unedited, this one was quantised, but overall my playing was cleaner than last time anyway (I mean, it was two years ago :P)
So this was a success imo, and all in a single evening's work, ideal! River Run is already finished and will be uploaded on the 14th, Ludum is well underway and will probably be out on the 21st, which covers my moving phase. That should be it for September.
So until then, thanks for listening, and hope you enjoyed this composition!
