Welcome to my new channel! I used to upload my original compositions on the old one, 'Eris Falling,' but I feel in recent months it has become necessary for them to exist separately from the other work I posted there.
All those videos will eventually be set to unlisted, with a link to them in the descriptions of the corresponding remake on this channel. I'll be revisiting all of them, working to the best of my ability to make them as good as I can!
This song, which was previously untitled, is literally the first piece of music I ever wrote. When I was aged about 12 I had a keyboard with a wide range of accompaniment settings. I was just learning about chords at the time, and had a particular fondness for a certain set of chords, combined with one of the blues backing arrangements.
When I decided in March 2013 that I wanted to try writing music properly, the first thing I did in a MIDI sequencer was create a rendition of the same piece, and I uploaded it to Doomworld with the title "ef_midi_1," and was subsequently invited to work on the Plutonia MIDI Pack, which had just started development.
That MIDI never found its way to my old channel, so it's been long forgotten - until now. As I'll be uploading these in chronological order, I was faced with "Lost Hope," the other 2010 track being the debut for this channel and it didn't seem right to me, so I decided to see if I could polish up ef_midi_1, and here's the result! Given the circumstances here, I felt the title "A New Beginning," was quite fitting.
Also, sorry about my guitar playing :P I'm really trying to get better, progress is a bit slow however.
