#Dlium Tree dahlia (Dahlia imperialis) is a plant species in the Asteraceae, a shrub or small tree, grows with upright stems and many branches, produces fan flowers, is bright in color and grows to form colonies at an elevation of 1500-2500 meters.
D. imperialis has a stem up to 8-10 meters high, cylindrical in shape, four corners with swollen nodes, many branches, old stems are brownish green and young stems are reddish green or black.
The leaves have stalks up to 5 cm long, sit in pairs and are green. Leaves are oval, up to 15 cm long, up to 10 cm wide, pointed tip, serrated margins, green, a large vein in the middle and several small pinnate veins.
The flowers have stalks up to 20 cm long and are green with reddish or blackish markings. Flowers are fan-shaped, up to 20 cm wide, 8 pieces, bright blue or reddish blue, the middle segment is bright yellow and circular.
