London Euston is one of the busiest railway termini in London in terms of both passengers and rail movements. It is operated by Network Rail and sees services by Avanti West Coast, London North Western Railway and London Overground, using a mixture of Class 221, Class 390, Class 805, Class 350, Class 730 and Class 710 units.
I visited this station in the final week of testing of Avanti West Coast's brand new Class 805 "Evero" units before they entered service, with a total of 3 such units seen in this video. Also included is a surprise appearance from Great Western Railway, which of course don't usually run into London Euston, but sent a Class 802 to London Euston for driver training runs in preparation for diversionary routes when the GWML into Paddington is closed due to HS2 works. A routine fire alarm test was conducted at Euston during my visit, which led to some interesting announcements being played throughout my visit.
I'd never thought about filming here before, considering it to be difficult and problematic to film at, with long trains restricting views and Network Rail's often strict policies on filming. However, I was very pleasantly surprised with my experience at Euston. The views are excellent if you choose the right platform, and the staff were very accommodating.
