Alexandra Palace is a junction station located on the East Coast Main Line, a few stops out of London Kings Cross. It sees services operated by Great Northern, Thameslink, LNER, Grand Central, Hull Trains and Lumo, using the usual huge variety of rolling stock including Class 700, 717, 800, 801, 802 and 803.
Alexandra Palace is notably one of the few ECML stations in London with no blocked views to the fast lines. This makes it a perfect station for watching trains passing through at speed, and stopping services alike. Even on a Saturday, less than one hour of filming led to over 15 minutes of footage. There's never a dull moment here.
