Manchester Piccadilly is the largest station in Manchester and one of the busiest stations in the UK outside of London. With its 14 platforms, it sees a huge variety of services to all corners of the United Kingdom. Services are seen by Northern, Transpennine Express, CrossCountry, Avanti West Coast, East Midlands Railway and Transport for Wales.
On what is my second visit to the station, I stayed here for a little over an hour, and managed to capture a colourful variety of services, standing on Platforms 11 and 12 which allowed for sweeping views over the southern approach to the station whilst getting good views of the through platforms 13 and 14. Manchester Piccadilly is a station that you should definitely pay a visit to as a UK trainspotter - you could stay here for hours on end!
