Manchester Piccadilly is a large interchange station and one of the largest stations in the north west. Services are operated primarily by Northern, Avanti West Coast, CrossCountry, Transpennine Express, East Midlands Railway and Transport for Wales using a wide variety of rolling stock.
I spent about an hour here including a meal break, standing on the eastern end of platforms 13 and 14, which allows you to get a nice sweeping view of the incredible variety that comes in and out the station. This part of the world is largely now dominated with new trains like the Class 195 and 331 Civity units, Class 397 and more.
If I could have spent more time here, I almost certainly would have done; not complaining though with a solid 24 minutes of footage!
