On the Eastern side of Hyrule Castle, it's possible with a very precise LJA bomb boost to skip the need for the Dominion Rod.

There are a lot of elements to this trick, and it's not entirely RTA feasible yet.
- Line up the tip of Link's right foot with a dot on the ground and place a bomb
- Move right until Link's right foot is at the point where the two black lines cross
- Target above the platform and on the wall to the right.
These gale targets are precise but have some leniency. You have until the bomb explodes to aim so you don't really have time to aim super slowly, but once you throw the gale the bomb timer resets.
You want the gale to curve left from the first target on the way back to the second, and the path it takes is dependent on both the targets and Link's position. It can feel random sometimes but I don't know for sure that it is.
- Double tap A while the gale is travelling to the first target to roll and drop off the ledge.
Popping back up to standing on the ledge requires pressing A to drop the first frame possible, so while this is frame perfect, it isn't *terrible* since the timing should be the same if you position the same each time. You can mash but I had much more success with timing it (and I think HD can buffer?)
- Press B to draw your sword, and wait until the gale has brought the bomb back just past the wall on the left.
The pathing of the gale is very important here in being able to get an LJA at all, and to actually get the bomb boost is only one frame according to chrisisawesome. The cue I was using for the timing of the jump was 4 twirls of the bomb in the gale from when it started to return... but was partly feel honestly. Not a lot of advice for this part.
This saves quite a bit of time in TPHD 100% as it requires getting the keys from both sides (see it done on HD here: youtube.com/watch?v=zLRuxtoqcOc), for Gamecube it may be useful for segmented/TAS/ILs as I think it has potential to be faster than getting the key from King Bulblin (when done stupidly fast), beyond that the biggest use is randomiser.

See ZSR for more info: https://www.zeldaspeedruns.com/tp/boss/dangoro
- With Master Sword, jump attack 3 times from the spawn position. The third jump attack will hit Dangoro.
- Backflip 3 times and put on the Iron boots during the 3rd backflip.
- Keep holding L, and wait for Dangoro to hit Links shield. After Dangoro nudges Links shield twice, press and hold A to grab and throw him.
If successful, Link will grab the ledge after throwing Dangoro, and Dangoro will bounce in the lava enough to complete two cycles instead of just one. If Dangoro is grabbed too early, then this will act as one normal cycle; if Dangoro is grabbed too late, then Link will fall and grab the ledge without throwing Dangoro into the lava.
While he bounces after the second cycle hits start, hitting him in midair with a spin attack will interrupt him for a quick third hit.

![Twilight Princess: Void from poe backflip softlock [Wii]
Voiding out from a poe soul backflip skips the text in the gamecube version of the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHzRQjH4CME
but on the Wii version its a soft lock. Cant pause with item menu or save menu, only home menu.
Same thing happens if youd die from the void: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQ7jkPw2GLw
Came to this spot to test if the Wii version can pause during the backflip to savewarp, as this spot gives more time to do so. Spoiler: it doesnt work. Twilight Princess: Void from poe backflip softlock [Wii]](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/nAMWG5GYjxg/mqdefault.jpg)
