This is a short tour of the village of Alberta Beach, Alberta on the southeast shore of Lac Ste. Anne. This is a popular lake about 70 km northwest of Edmonton. This is a tour of the town itself, I am not focusing on boating, fishing or other outdoor recreational activities. This is an updated look at the restaurants, shops and services in Alberta Beach to provide information for people who plan on visiting in the future. The area had long been inhabited by Indigenous peoples, and there was a catholic mission established here in the 1840s. The town of Alberta Beach developed into a small yet bustling little town, and the area is home to many secondary and vacation properties. The permanent year-round population of the town is around 1000 people and the area can get upwards of 3000 people during weekends in peak season. There are many outdoor pursuits available in the area, and the town itself offers some decent services and restaurants. If you haven't visited this little lake town, consider a day trip!
