Desert Ironwood (olneya tesota) blank. Sides flattened and grooved with Router Jig on lathe. Drilled out the body to fit a 1/4-inch bit holder and epoxied it in place. After final shaping and sanding the I cut it free and cleaned up the end with a foam sanding pad mounted in my lathe in a Jacob’s chuck. Sanded to 600 grit then polished with Ack’s Abrasive Sanding Paste and Ack’s Polish/Restoring Paste.
