This is part 2 of my quest mode walkthrough on the 2025 version of TXR. This is the 2nd of 5 segments for stage 1. Some major milestones for us today as we take on our first few bosses out of many more to come, while continuing to upgrade our initial starter car as much as possible, alongside any useful driver perks, etc. Just trying to learn as much as possible about the new game. Mainly for me the parking areas, since I never had an Xbox 360 and never got to play Import Tuner Challenge, where parking areas debuted in. And they'll be critical to beating every single racer in the game as a good amount of them are only found there. Plus you can talk to other racers and get information on how to find & race all the wanderers from them. There's 72 of them in total so we have a lot of research to do. We're also trying to rack up as much money as possible since if we're gonna beat every racer, it's not a matter of if we'll need to switch cars at some point, it's a matter of when. And finding out exactly when the time is right will be a bit of a challenge. Our starter AE86 will only carry us so far. And this game is a huge step up in terms of difficulty compared to the last TXR game, Import Tuner Challenge from nearly 20 years ago. That game was far & away the easiest in the entire franchise, and by a lot. So laughably easy in fact that it takes some of the fun out of the experience as only the final boss offers even a slight challenge. You can complete the whole game without ever losing relatively easily. This games difficulty is on par with TXR Zero if you ask me, which is to say quite hard. As if our first loss of the playthrough embarrassingly being to a traffic car wasn’t indicative enough to that. After beating the first few bosses, we also unlocked the rest of the expressways to drive as we had been confined to the C1 loop up to that point. Which is a little surprising as in past entries you had to get much farther in the game before unlocking all of the drivable roads.
