đşđ¸ Today, We Remember. We Honor. We Lift. On this Memorial Day, I honor all who served and paid the ultimate price. But today, I also pause to shine a light on those whose stories too often go untoldâŚ
Black men and women who fought for a country that didnât always fight for them.
đ¤ They stood in uniform while still being denied basic rights.
đ¤ They carried rifles overseas and burdens at home.
đ¤ They served with dignity, courage, and unshakable strength, while being erased from the history books.
And yet⌠they loved this land enough to fight for its promise.
Not because it always loved them back,
but because they believed in something greater,
freedom, dignity, and a future beyond their struggle.
Today, I honor ALL veterans. Every race, every background.
But to the forgotten Black soldiers, nurses, medics, cooks, engineers, codebreakers, pilots, and pioneersâŚ
⨠We see you now.
⨠We remember you.
⨠We carry your legacy forward.
Let this day not just be about BBQ and flags.
Let it be about memory, truth, and a renewed commitment to justice.
Because remembering is powerful. And when we honor the forgotten, we begin to heal what history tried to bury.
