This is tortally awesome – our juvenile Egyptian tortoises are starting to hang out with the adults! 👏
Here you can see our tiny tort Giza interacting with adult female Rosetta. Now two years old, Giza and sibling Sphinx are sloooowly getting bigger, which means they can spend more time in the larger habitat shared by the adult tortoises and our male rough-scaled plated lizard, Khata. On warm, sunny days, you might have seen the juvenile and adult tortoises together in the outdoor corral. ☀️ With the tiny torts better able to navigate the rocky terrain of the adult habitat, we’re excited to see them together more often. 🥰
