This video is about Ham Radio operators preparedness in the extremal situations. With the Russian invasion in Ukraine, the danger spreads all across Europe, so it is important for every citizen to be ready for unexpected situations. For radio amateurs, it might be useful to test theirs and their equipment ability for rapid deployment in the event of organising emergency radio communications.
I took the opportunity of the QCX Monday Challenge event to test my QCX-mini and the 5m vertical MFJ antenna whip out in the forest. I was using my QCX-mini 20m band transceiver, home made “paper clip” paddle (please look for my separate video on paper clip on this channel), Buddipole’s RF Choke Balun and Versa Tee antenna hub.
